Çiftlik

Finca Huehuetapan is located in the mountainous central region of Veracruz, within the municipality of Cosautlán de Carvajal. At approximately 1,350 metres above sea level, the farm benefits from abundant rainfall and a temperate climate well suited to coffee cultivation.

The farm was purchased by Nicéforo Valdivia Quiroz on 30 November 1951 and transferred to María Del Rosario Irais Valdivia Ortiz on 24 January 1978. Coffee is produced across 23 hectares, with careful attention paid to preserving soil quality and selecting the varieties used for replanting.

The coffees are processed using a water-saving system. Harvested coffee cherries and green beans are carefully sorted; washed lots are prepared at the wet mill, while natural coffees are handled in dedicated processing and drying areas.

The farm shifted its focus to high-quality coffee production in 2010 and placed sixth in the 2012 Mexico Cup of Excellence. This particular lot placed tenth in the 2024 Mexico Cup of Excellence.
